2021 Summer Mission Trip

June 12 - June 19

2021 Summer Mission Trip 1

Cost: $250 per person (minus monies raised through pecan sales and other fundraising efforts of the Student Ministry)

Travel: Charter Bus

Ministry: Monday through Thursday, our students will be involved with two daily projects: one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Ministry opportunities in Orlando are multi-faceted and diverse.  We may be a part of helping meet basic needs by working in food pantries and soup kitchens, helping others get access to the essentials they need. Some of our students might help with landscaping and working in nurseries to brighten up the community. There are also other opportunities to work directly with people through children’s homes, nursing homes, homeless shelters, partnering with churches, etc.

Worship: Worship and small group devotions are built into our daily schedules.  We will provide a worship leader/speaker for the week to oversee our nightly worship gatherings.

Lodging: Our group will lodge at a local, private Christian high school in the Orlando area.  Students will sleep in dorm-style rooms with twin beds, two-students to a room.

Meals: Servant Life will provide daily meals for our group.  These meals are included in the cost; however, there are other meals that students will need to pay for additionally. On Wednesday evening we will eat at a restaurant/public area. On Friday, students will be responsible for lunch at the Universal Studios theme park.  Also, students will be responsible for meals during the travel days to and from Orlando.

Fun: Our group will spend Friday, June 18, at UNIVERSAL STUDIOS Theme Park.  Admission to the park is included in the cost of the trip.  However, students will need their own money to purchase food, items in the park.
