D-Now is an event joining 7th-12th grade students from across the River Region for a weekend of worship & discipleship. Eastmont students will combine with students from other area churches at Taylor Road Baptist Church for three worship services. Additionally, Eastmont students will be placed in small groups determined by grade level and gender. Each small group will spend the weekend as guests in the home of a trusted Eastmont family selected by the student pastor, and students will engage in bible study led by college students.
On Saturday, each small group complete service projects of various types. Some possible projects include yard work, construction, meal preparation/serving, nursing home visits, cleaning, and other options. Each project has been selected by the student pastor and student ministry leaders and serves to meet specific needs in the River Region/ Tri-County area.
This year’s DNow theme is THE PURSUIT. Teaching will center around the concept of “purity.” As followers of Christ, the life we are called to live is a life of purity. But achieving purity requires more than avoiding sins. It’s not a list of dos and don’ts. Rather purity involves actively striving toward Jesus and actively resisting temptation to sin. It’s all about the pursuit.
DNow is a weekend of faith, fun, food, and friends. To register for the event, visit the website listed at the top of this page. Invite friends. Sign up. Don’t miss the best weekend of the year!!
