AMPLIFY WEEKEND (DNow) is an annual event joining 7th-12th grade students from churches across the River Region for a weekend of worship and discipleship. Heritage Baptist Church will host the three worship services. Eastmont students will be divided into small groups determined by grade and gender. Each small group is led by college students/ young adults selected and screened by the student pastor. Each group spends the weekend as guests in the home of a trusted Eastmont family. While in their host homes, students will engage in activities and bible study sessions led by their assigned leaders.
This year’s theme is RE3: REDEEMED, RESTORED, RECONCILED. The theme is taken from 2 Corinthians 5:14-21. Over the course of the weekend, students will see a full picture of the process of salvation as it is presented in the New Testament.
On Friday night, following the worship service, students will return to Eastmont for a SILENT DISCO party. On Saturday, each small group is assigned a ministry project. Some possible projects may include painting, yard work, construction, meal preparation/ delivery, nursing home visits, cleaning, and other options. Each project has been prepared by the student pastor and student ministry leaders and serves to meet specific needs in the River Region/ Tri-County area.
