Caleb Herod
Caleb grew up as a missionary kid in Guatemala City, Guatemala. He is married to Danielle, and together they have four children: Celeste (17), Caedmon (14), Felicity (11), and Bentley (7). Caleb and his family began attending Eastmont in 2018, after they moved to Montgomery from McKinney, TX. Caleb and Danielle both enjoy discipling students in Christ as Life Group leaders for the youth ministry. They are also privileged to help serve the music ministry by participating in the choir and in various vocal ensembles.
Michele Jones
Michele is a mother to two daughters, Jordan Dedman (age 27) and Emily Jones (age 23). She has been a member of Eastmont her entire life and raised her children here as well. Her grandparents were members prior to their death, and her parents are also current members. Ms. Jones is a member of the W.O.W. life group. She has taught children’s choir, has worked with the youth choir, and is a member of the adult choir.
Monica Powell
Dr. Monica Powell spent 21 years as a Pastor’s wife and 30 years as an educator. She has been a baptized believer since the age of 11 and has served God’s church and his people since. Monica has more than 50 years of experience singing in choir starting in her youth. She joined Eastmont in late Fall of 2017. She also spent time traveling and worshiping under Watch Care with multicultural believers.
Carol Thomas
Carol is a follower of Jesus Christ who seeks to serve Him and others. She has been happily married to her husband, Joel, for 35 years and they have one son and a beautiful daughter-in-love. Carol is “Meme” to three precious grandchildren, with whom she loves spending time. Carol grew up in North Alabama and accepted Christ at the age of 10. She has been a faithful member of Eastmont since 1991 and has served in various ministries over the years. She currently serves in children’s ministry, as well as women’s ministry.
