You will never be all God wants you to be unless the right people are around you.
God specializes in using ordinary people to do extra-ordinary things.
1 Now in the church at Antioch there were prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen (who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch) and Saul. 2 While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” 3 So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off.
1. You don’t have to be the best, as long as you really care a lot
God turns you misery into a ministry.
2.Until you see yourself as a sinner, you will never see your need of a Savior.
“I am little sick but I am not a sinner.”
“I am little weak but I am not wicked.”
Until you realize the power of sin in you, you will never depend on the power of Christ to help you.
3. When you put God’s will before your wants you are able to make a difference.
Being servants like Christ
God’s plans before our plans
God’s will verses our wants
4. You can’t do everything, but you can do something.
You can’t feed every hungry person but can feed one family.
“With joy, Barnabas encouraged the believers to stay close to the Lord, whatever the cost.”
