Better Together

One of the greatest gifts God has given us in the Christian life is each other. That’s right… we weren’t meant to follow Jesus on our own. While our personal relationship with God matters deeply, the Christian life is meant to be lived out in community. Throughout Scripture, we see this truth over and over again—God calls us into a family, into the body of Christ, where we learn, grow, serve, and walk through life together.

“And let us consider one another in order to provoke love and good works, not neglecting to gather together, as some are in the habit of doing,
but encouraging each other, and all the more as you see the day approaching.” Hebrews 10:24-25

Sometimes, in the busy seasons of life, it’s easy to drift into isolation. We all have times when we feel tired, overwhelmed, or even spiritually dry. That’s exactly why God gave us the Church—a family of faith to encourage us, support us, pray with us, and walk with us through every season.

Here at Eastmont, we want to do everything we can to help foster those kinds of life-giving connections. That’s why we have LifeGroups, where people gather throughout the week to study God’s Word, share what’s going on in their lives, and pray for one another. It’s in those smaller circles that real friendship and growth often happen. Just last Wednesday evening, we hosted our Kids’ Summer Cookout, and it was such a joyful picture of community. There was laughter, games, good food, and most importantly—families connecting. Events like these are more than just fun—they’re moments when relationships are built and strengthened. We also look forward to our Quarterly Ministry Celebrations, where we gather to share stories of how God is at work through the various ministries in our church. It’s always encouraging to hear how people are serving, how lives are being changed, and how God is moving among us. These gatherings help us remember that we’re all part of something bigger than ourselves.

So if you’ve been feeling disconnected or just unsure where to plug in, consider this your invitation. Join a LifeGroup. Come to the next ministry celebration. Reach out, show up, and stay connected—because we truly are better together. God designed it that way.
