One of the most challenging and crucial seasons of life is the "teenage years."
At Eastmont, we know these years can be quite formative in an individual’s personal development. The Eastmont Student Ministry exists to lead 7th – 12th grade students and their families to fulfill the mission of God for the glory of God. God’s mission is for us to be disciples who make disciples. In doing this, we glorify God by spreading His name and fame across the globe. We seek to complete GOd’s mission by leading students to KNOW Christ and GROW in their relationship with Christ in order that they may GO and share Christ’s gospel with others. During the course of the year, we schedule fun weekend retreats, impactful mission trips, local outings, and other activities in order to allow students to KNOW, GROW, and GO in Christ.
LifeGroups
Sundays at 10 a.m. students meet for LifeGroups. The power of the gospel is best experienced when believers discuss real life issues and dig into God’s Word together in small groups. Sunday Morning LifeGroups allow students to gather in gender-specific groups by grade, led by adult volunteers.
Timeout
Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. is our largest weekly student gathering. It’s called TIMEOUT because we take a “time out” from the daily grind of school, extra-curricular activities, social media, etc. and spend an hour in worship and in God’s Word. TIMEOUT consists of student-led worship, games and activities, and a Biblical message from our student pastor. The modern worship music and relaxed atmosphere is welcoming to both veteran students and to first-time guests. For students who desire to daily live missional, Christian lives, TIMEOUT allows opportunity to spiritually recharge and finish the week well before gathering again with the church on Sundays.
GrowthTracks+
GrowthTrack+ is an approach to disciple making developed from challenges faced from COVID-19. Much of our approach to students’ spiritual growth relied on weekly, in-person gatherings. When our ability to gather was reduced, our spiritual growth lessened. GrowthTrack+ is on-demand, weekly Scripture intake prepared by the student pastor available online to anyone seeking to grow in their walk with Christ.
GrowthTracks
Sundays at 5 p.m students come together for GrowthTracks. GrowthTracks is Eastmont Students’ approach to Sunday evening, small group Bible study. GrowthTracks are bible study classes arranged into semesters throughout the calendar year. Each semester consists of a six-week, or eight-week period (depending on the church calendar) where students are given the opportunity to deepen their faith through studying different Christian topics and passages of Scripture. Each semester, we offer multiple GrowthTracks (bible study classes) and allow students to select which Track they most prefer to study. Tracks are led by adults approved by the student pastor.
