Parent-Child Dedication

In the life of our church, there are few moments more special than when families stand together before their church family to dedicate their children to the Lord. This past Sunday was one of those incredible mornings as four families participated in our Parent–Child Dedication service. It was such a joyful time, filled with smiling faces, proud parents, and a sweet reminder that every child truly is a gift from God. Moments like these remind us of the beauty of faith passed down from one generation to the next—and how our church gets to play a part in that story.

Parent–Child Dedication isn’t just a cute moment or a photo opportunity—it’s a meaningful commitment. It’s a moment when parents say, “We want to raise our children to know and follow Jesus,” and when the church says, “You’re not in this alone.” Together, we’re committing to walk alongside these families, to pray for them, encourage them, and help point their children to Christ in every stage of life.

As a church family, that’s something we all get to be part of. Whether you’re teaching a class, rocking a baby in the nursery, leading worship, or simply offering a kind word in the hallway, you’re investing in the next generation. Every act of love and every prayer you pray helps children see the goodness and faithfulness of God. When a child grows up seeing faith lived out consistently—in their home, their church, and their community—it leaves an eternal impact. Each of these four children exemplify this concept as they each have a parent who grew up at Eastmont and whose lives were invested in by this church family.

What a blessing it is to see parents take this step, and what a privilege it is for our church to celebrate with them. Let’s continue to be intentional about creating a place where children and families can grow in faith together. Let’s keep encouraging one another as we all strive to live lives that magnify the love of Jesus in everything we do. May we never take for granted the opportunity we have to shape young hearts and remind them daily that they are deeply loved by God and by their church family.
