Eastmont’s Mission Trip in 2022 will take us to a new place with new partners and with new opportunities to share the Gospel. We will partner with Hispaniola Mountain Ministries (HMM) in the Dominican Republic, November 19-26, doing many of the things our teams have done in the past, including partnering with a local church for door-to-door evangelism, children’s ministry, and church services.According to their website, “HMM is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization that focuses on connecting the local community to the local church in the DominicanRepublic and Haiti. We know the more we support the local church, the more God will work in and through that church to make disciples in their community. To accomplish the mission, HMM is focused on three main areas:
- Encourage the LOCAL church and community
- Equipping the Believers
- Empowering the Leaders
HMM’s desire is that God will continue to use this organization to bless the people of the Hispaniola Island and around the world.” Visit http://gohmm.org/ to learn more about Hispaniola Mountain Ministries. Most of the cost of the trip is covered through fundraisers like this week’s yard sale. The out-of-pocket cost per person is $500, which includes travel expenses, lodging, most meals, and resources for ministry during the week. This is a great opportunity for those who have thought about going on a mission trip but have been hesitant, or for families who might want to go on a mission trip together.Contact Gene Kim or Karen Bush if you are interested in knowing more or if you want to sign up. The next meeting about this trip will be on April 24th in room 205 following the 11:00 service.
