We are right in the middle of our 2024 Vacation Bible School, Breaker Rock Beach! Thank you so much
to everyone who has played a part in putting this week all together. We have had well over 100
volunteers participate in some form or fashion to make it happen. Thank you, Eastmont!
This year’s theme is so timely for our culture. This week, kids are learning about “God’s rock-solid truth
in a world of shifting sand.” Where we go for truth matters. We live in a day and age when society tells
people to “live their own truth,” implying that we get to define what we think is true and what is false.
That is completely against the gospel that we believe. God is the only one that defines truth. Each day in
Bible Study the kids look at one of 5 lies that the world tells us, such as “truth can be different for
different people,” “do what makes you happy,” and “if you don’t agree with me then you don’t love
me.” These are all countered with truth from God’s word, like “truth only comes from God,” “God’s plan
is best,” and “speak the truth in love.”
Please continue to pray for strength for our volunteers, but also that the truth of the Gospel that comes
from God’s word penetrates the hearts of those in attendance and changes lives.
