What are your dreams for 2021? Great health, job security, that the Vols win the NCAA football national championship (well I did say dreams)?
What if our dreams are too small or too inconsequential? What if we are settling for a year of just passing time until “normal” returns? What if “normal” never returns?
While everyone else around us may seem to be content with just passing the time until we can go back to the way things used to be, ours is a call to push forward. The world around us needs the hope that only comes through knowing Jesus as Savior and Lord more today than ever before. So while we seek to walk with wisdom in light of our current situation, we must also recognize that our call to make Christ known to the ends of the earth has not diminished.
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9
Let us today agree to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Jesus.
