Eastmont has a rich history of serving the families of Montgomery through its mother’s day out and preschool programs, which started more than 40 years ago in 1975. Following the retirement of long-time director, Sherry Wallace, the program was closed. Now thanks to the vision and leadership of Lynn Blackwell, Eastmont is ready to open its doors for a K3, K4, and K5 program!
Mrs. Lynn has taught 4-year-olds for seventeen years. Sixteen of those years were spent teaching at Frazer Kindergarten, but when the program shut down because of COVID, it opened the door to revive the kindergarten program at Eastmont.
“I love teaching and I love Eastmont. This is my ministry. It’s what I feel called to do,” said Lynn. “I’m so proud of the direction the school is heading, and I really want this to be something Eastmont is proud of as well.”
Children enrolled in Eastmont Christian Kindergarten will spend their days in a Christ-centered learning environment with a strong academic curriculum to prepare them for school while having a lot of fun along the way. Enrollment is now open for the 2021 – 2022 school year. You can learn more and register on our website at eastmont.org/kindergarten.
