Eastmont Music Ministry

At Eastmont, there is a place for everyone to be involved in the Music Ministry. It is our desire to offer many opportunities for our people to use their God-given abilities as they serve our Lord here at Eastmont.
We are ordinary people with varying degrees of talent and training. We represent a wide range of ages, experiences, and preferences. From teaching scriptural truths and music fundamentals to leading in praise and worship, the Music Ministry seeks to reach the lost and encourage Christians as it lifts the name of Jesus. The tie that binds us together is God’s love for us expressed through His gifts of music, media, and the arts.

The Sanctuary Choir provides many opportunities for our members to use their spiritual gifts in their service to our Lord. Members of the Sanctuary Choir have a love for people and enjoy sharing music through song. This choir meets each Wednesday night at 6:15 p.m. in the choir suite for rehearsal.  The choir sings for Sunday morning  10:30 a.m. service and for other special services. Each year the choir prepares a special performance for Easter.

The Ladies Trio is made up of 3 members from the Sanctuary Choir. This group devotes extra hours of rehearsal time to prepare special music to be sung during worship. They also sing at special performances.
The Quartet is made up of 4 members from the Sanctuary Choir. This group   devotes extra hours of rehearsal time to prepare special music to be sung during worship. They also sing at special performances.
The Worship Team is made up of 6 to 8 members from the Sanctuary Choir. This special blend of voices spends hours of rehearsal time together in order to prepare special music for our Sunday worship. They also sing at special performances.

Eastmont Bell Members have the ability to read music and spend many hours learning the music to be shared with our church family during Sunday morning services and special performances. Rehearsals are held on Sunday afternoons at 5:00 p.m. Our director of the Eastmont Bells is Danny McDonald.

Our seniors are a special part of our church family. This group gives much of their free time in service to our Lord. Our senior adults have a passion for discipleship. The choir spends time learning special music to be shared with our church family at special events.

The Eastmont Orchestra is a dynamic ensemble of adult musicians using their skills to the glory of God. The orchestra plays during worship services each week.  The orchestra meets on Wednesday nights at 6 PM in the sanctuary for rehearsal.  Eddy Williams is the director of the orchestra.

Children are in some of the most critical years of faith formation. We believe that music and the arts play a significant role in helping them explore faith and learn about God. Partner with us this year by helping reinforce at home what they will be learning in their rehearsals on Sunday nights. Ask questions about what they are learning. What we teach them goes beyond just creative movement, playing an instrument, or singing a song. We desire that they know and experience the beauty of God by participating in His beauty through music and the arts. We look forward to another meaningful and fruitful year of learning, creating, and singing
