Winter Retreat

Report from Winter Retreat

The Eastmont Student Ministry took a group of more than 50 students and adults to attend the Strength to Stand Conference in Pigeon Forge in January. They were led in worship by Eastmont Student Ministry and Praise Band alumnus, Wes Willis and Rush of Fools. Also leading in worship were Cody Carnes and his wife, Kari Jobe, as well as David Crowder.

Kayleigh Autry, high school senior, said of the conference, “Winter Retreat meant a lot to me in my spiritual growth. We started off the year with our Bible plan and Winter Retreat lit that fire underneath me to keep going and to keep pursuing the things God has planned for me throughout this year.”

Powerful Gospel-centered messages came from Scott Dawson, Ben Stuart, and EdNewton. Zeph Key said, “I saw God working through everyone who went to the back (made a decision) and it hit me that He was legit in the room, moving among everyone. It was awesome!” Zeph said that he is thankful to those who planned the trip and for the adults who went to make the trip possible.
