The teenage years are a season of life marked by growth, change, and challenge. In these years, children grow into young men and women. Students face major life decisions as they consider college and career. In addition to this, mix in the challenges of relationships with parents, best friends, boyfriends and girlfriends, and the onslaught of temptations from the surrounding culture.
At Eastmont, we value teenagers and desire to see them thrive in this season of change and in the seasons of life that await them. Our goal is for students to KNOW God deeply and to GROW in His Word in order to GO into the world and SHOW His love!
SUNDAY MORNING LIFEGROUPS
On Sunday mornings, students gather for Bible study in LifeGroups. LifeGroups are arranged by gender and grade level, with each group being led by men and women who love the LORD and desire to see students grow in their faith. Our goal in LifeGroups is to foster meaningful relationships built upon the foundation of God’s Word. Aside from Sundays in the classrooms, LifeGroups also plan various fun activities together throughout the year.
TIMEOUT WEDNESDAYS
On Wednesday evenings, students meet upstairs to worship. It’s called TIMEOUT! With all the busyness in our week, we set aside an hour, and take a “time out,” specifically for worship with our friends. Each week our student praise band leads us in music that honors Jesus. Our student pastor delivers a weekly message from God’s Word that challenges us to live out our faith and celebrates what God is doing in and through our lives. TIMEOUT is a great opportunity for friends and guests to experience the culture and community that exists in Eastmont’s student ministry. With games, songs, prayer, Scripture, and more, we’re certain you’ll be uplifted and encouraged to seek Jesus all the more in the days ahead.
TRIPS AND EVENTS
Perhaps the most memorable aspect of our student ministry exists in the trips and events we enjoy throughout the year. Our calendar year is filled with activities that are always fun and life-shaping. We’ve played in the snow in the Smoky Mountains and we’ve served communities in Indianapolis. We’ve ridden roller coasters at Universal Studios in Orlando and we’ve served food to the homeless right here in Montgomery. We firmly believe that allowing students to experience these moments NOW will help to establish a compassionate heart and a love for the church for the rest of their lives. Listed below are our major events, which take place annually. You can learn more about these events on our church events page.
