Next week, we are hosting our biggest children’s ministry event of the year. That’s right… Vacation Bible School. I’m sure you have heard about it in the many announcements we have made. We already have over 75 volunteers to serve in many different capacities, so thank you so much for your willingness to serve your community!
This year the theme is “Magnified” as we look at the bigness of God in the smallest of things. The theme this year is twofold. Each day we will learn a Big Truth about who God is and what He does, which ultimately leads us to a response. In our Bible Study classes the kids will learn that “God sees us,” “God cares about us,” “God loves us,” “God forgives us,” and “God keeps His promises.” Learning these truths leads us to love God, praise God, and to magnify God.
I love the biblical direction that we are going this year because it’s so applicable to adults as well as children. All too often we look passed and miss the little things that God is doing in our lives. The challenge for all of us is to be intentional at looking and seeing the way that God is working in your life and in the lives around you. When we see the greatness of God, it pushes us to make His name great and proclaim it to all those around us.
